Generator sizing should account for voltage, continuous electrical demand and the starting requirements of motors, pumps, compressors and other equipment. Cantherm’s current equipment structure correctly separates portable generators from its larger mobile generator category.
Temporary electrical power can be required well beyond a conventional construction site. Field maintenance, agricultural operations and remote work may require generators for pumps, tools, lighting, controls and other equipment where permanent service is unavailable or impractical.
Where a generator will also support fuel-fired heating equipment, the heater’s fan and control requirements should be included along with all other electrical loads when sizing the generator.
